Steiner Playgroup

The children and I went along to playgroup today, the first time for a while. We all seemed to have a fun time, Flo found a xylophone to play with, Felix sat chewing on a shell and fir cone and I made a bird feeder from an orange.

Instructions

Get an orange and cut a lid off it. Scoop out the insides. Mash some lard and bird seed together and fill the orange. Add some string and hang up for the birds to eat.

2 Years Old

Flo is 2 now. I can't believe that it's been two years since she started her life journey. And its been an amazing two years. Looking forward to the year to come, as it will be filled with potty training, bike riding and a move from a cot into a bed (eventually).

My New Phone

I have just renewed my phone contract and instead of going down the iphone route I have opted for a HTC phone. I'm still getting used to it, but look, I can post on my blog with ease. I'm amazed at how much more useable and how much more accessible things are on my new phone compared to my old iPhone.

Bad Sourdough Starter

Was about to make some bread this evening, however I opened my sourdough starter and it smelt rank, really vinegary and there was some pale pink looking mix on the side of the jar. Good job I had some some starter stashed away in the back of the fridge. So a new jar is on the worktop starting to produce its little bubbles of carbon dioxide.

Wow! How Time Has Flown.

Wow! this time last year I was 5 months pregnant and had a lovely happy- go- lucky 10 month old to look after how things have changed. Florence has now become an adventurous strong willed, verbally competent (almost) 22 month old, and my beloved newborn babe Felix is now a very happy smiley 6 month old. Where has the time gone.

All the Crap's in the Past Now!

I'm referring to a stomach bug that all three of us have suffered this past week. I was starting to get quite fraught on Friday when Flo (who'd been ill since a week Friday) still wasn't her totally normal self. To make matters worse I was dreaming about poo as well!

It looks like today we have seen the light at the end of the tunnel and things seam to be back to normal....apart from me who now has an obsession with disinfecting and cleaning  everything in site. (and that doesn't really sit with my general "cleaning" ethos).

Hopefully this past week will be soon forgotten and that we will be back to our chaotic life in no time at all

Feeling a Bit Worn Out

I have almost hit 22 weeks pregnant and starting to feel slow, along with this, Flo who is just about to reach the 11 month mark has taken things up a gear.She's certainly keeping me on my toes. This additional energy also comes along with a more determined attitude, and we've had a couple of "tantrums" Can under ones have tantrums?
